Abbey Otte
Ballet and Recital Instructor Abbey has been dancing since the age of two and is trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, and musical theater. At age fourteen, she chose to focus her training on ballet, leading to advanced pre-professional opportunities. At seventeen, Abbey was offered a Trainee contract with Charlotte Ballet, where she trained under Laszlo Berdo, Kati Hanlon Mayo, and Patricia McBride and performed in productions including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Endeavor to the Edge. During her time in Charlotte, she also discovered her love for teaching and mentoring young dancers. Abbey is currently a Trainee with BalletMet, training under Maria Torija, Carrie West-Suslov, Dmitri Suslov, and Traci Gilchrest Kubie. Her recent performances include The Nutcracker, La Bayadère, and Divertimento No. 15. Abbey is excited to share her passion for ballet and dance with the students of RDC. |
